Tim Jarvis
President/CEO
Tim uses running and other training activities to be a better “hybrid” athlete all for the benefit of his main passion of bowhunting & chasing wild game.
Tim launched Run To Succeed Race Management & Timing Company in 2014 while working full time as a law enforcement officer. Tim retired from his law enforcement career in 2018 to focus on his business goals. The business has since expanded into two run & hike specialty retail locations – RTS Outfitters Marion and RTS Outfitters Paducah.
Mary Jarvis
Vice President
Mary loves spending quality time with her trophy husband. Even if she doesn’t realize she does. At least she won’t admit to it.
Mary started running in Junior High School as a sprinter. She was not a fan of distance running and only used Cross Country as a training method. However, Mary eventually started a love/hate relationship with distance running. Mary is a full-time nurse for the past 20 years with Southern Illinois Healthcare.
Tyler Lawrence
General Manager
Tyler is the loudest member of the RTS team. Once he starts talking, you can’t get him to quit. Kidding of course! The biggest challenge is getting him to talk 🙂
Tyler is the fastest runner on the RTS Team often competing in and finishing in the top of the pack. Tyler is a passionate runner and has a passion for the running & outdoor industry as a whole. Because of this, he brings a great deal of knowledge and resources to the team.
Brian Harrison, MD
Race Timer & Overall Helper
Brian is the one to the right in the picture just in case you didn’t know.
Brian has been helping organize and time races since Run to Succeed Race Management and Timing Company began in 2014. Brian has helped with races when there have been storms, blistering heat and biblical amounts of rainfall. Why? None of us really know.
Michael Gholson

“Mind like a steel trap Michael” as we prefer to call him
Michael Gholson has over a decade of experience in the running shoes retail environment. We first met Michael at our 4 Mile Run of Valor in 2014. He joined the RTS Team in 2020. And no, he really doesn’t have all that great of a memory. Unless it comes to knowledge of the running shoe industry!
Michelle Pearl
Race Timer / Office Assistant
Michelle joined the team in 2014 and now we can’t get rid of her 🙂
Michelle met Tim in 2014 as a participant in the 4 Mile Run of Valor to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Michelle started running in October of 2013 and ran her very first 5K race in April 2014. She has completed her own 1000 mile challenge since her career start in running. We often refer to Michelle as Tim’s 2nd wife.
Denise Maragni

Denise provides the humor at the company Christmas Party
As Denise herself will often say, she joined us part time in the summer of 2018 and just never left. So why leave now? She is a full time school teacher and works for RTS as a Retail Sales Associate and Race Timer as pictured above. Photo taken at the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois 5K.
